Bloop, Slusho, Cloverfield Oh My!
July 14, 2007 |
The Semidi blog points to a Search Engine Marketing blog by Anne Haynes that discusses the Cloverfield viral marketing campaign. Haynes says to Google the word “bloop” for clues.
1- Go to the Apple site and watch the 1.18.08 trailer
2 – Then got to 1.18.08 Site
3- Google “bloop”
It’s a campaign that crosses many sites about a physical phenomenon. They even have a fake news story embedded into cnn.com.4- Google “Slusho”
Since Haynes is the first person to associate the word bloop with the campaign and says that whoever is behind the campaign has embedded a fake news story in CNN.com, I am going to guess that she is somehow directly connected to the campaign. However, the story could be very much real.
Semidi also discusses the evidence that backs up the idea that the film is Cthulhu. I still highly doubt this because there is another Cthulhu movie coming out later this year and I don’t think two movies with the same title would come out in the same year. Or, maybe this is just really bad logic on my part! The Voltron angle is out as well as it is known that Justin Marks is writing this movie. I’m still sticking with two theories; its either a JJ Abram’s original picture or Gamera!
